My poor mom, a resident of Tampa, has already been flooded out of her condo. Now she is battening down the hatches again. (We have family in the area thank goodness further inland.)
In North Carolina many mountain businesses will miss the fall color tourist season.
I live on the front of the Blue Ridge in Virginia and October is fall color time. People from the cities drive down and take pictures, drink wine, pick pumpkins and apples, the whole bit. It’s a vital time for many small businesses in our area. The same is true in the Smokies to our south. This year it isn’t going to happen.
